Corrosive impact of the streams of damp warm air going out from the underground led to the necessity of applying composite materials for decorative panels located above the underground entrances and underground crossings of Moscow. This air is condensed in the microcracks of the concrete panels on which the mosaics is located, and its freezing results in cracking. Using the composite material as the backing material for mosaic panels helped to solve the problem and increase the service life of the structure by several times.
